Jack VanDorselaer discusses the recruitment process for high-caliber prospects and shares insights into his visit to Tennessee.

Four-star tight end Jack VanDorselaer from Southlake, Texas, recently committed to the Tennessee Volunteers and discussed the prospects he aims to recruit alongside him.

Tennessee orchestrated another official recruiting event that drew numerous recruits and prospects. Jack VanDorselaer, committed to the Volunteers as a tight end, was present on campus and shared his experience on Rocky Top with Volunteer Country.

When asked about his overall visit, the Tennessee commit expressed enthusiasm, stating, “It was great! I had the opportunity to spend time with Coach [Alec] Abeln and Coach Josh Heupel. Attending the basketball game allowed me to witness the Tennessee atmosphere in a different setting. I also hung out with recent quarterback commit George MacIntyre.” He added, “It was good getting to speak with George. I got to hear his thought process and get to know him more. I’m glad he chose Tennessee; having a highly-ranked quarterback throwing you the ball is fantastic.”

During his visit, the talented tight end engaged with the coaching staff, who assigned him a specific task. VanDorselaer explained, “We discussed recruiting other players and how we could collaborate on that. Additionally, I had the chance to talk with them about non-football-related topics and enjoy spending time with them.” He then listed the players he is personally targeting, saying, “David Sanders Jr., Jaime Ffrench, and Marcus Harris are the players I’m looking to recruit to Tennessee. My pitch to them is: Come to Rocky Top! The fans are the best in the country, coaches are great men who will make you great, and there’s no cooler place to play football than Rocky Top.”

When questioned about his perspective on visits to other schools, VanDorselaer, the 6’5, 230-pound tight end, emphasized his growing affinity for Tennessee. He declared, “After every visit, I love Tennessee more and more each time. Tennessee is home for me, and we are going to build something special. There are no other visits planned for other schools in the future.”
