Why is Jaime Jaquez Jr. not participating in the game against the Celtics tonight, January 25th?

The Heat and Boston Celtics will square off in a rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight at the Kayesa Center in Miami. The Heat, who are now on a four-game losing run, will be without Dade County native Jaime Jaquez Jr. tonight.

Jaquez will miss five in a row.
Because he was still completing his studies at UCLA, Jaquez was not present in the Eastern Conference Finals of the previous year. He has been among the league’s best rookies this season, scoring 14 points per game and figuring out Eric Spoelsta’s system with ease.

Strangely enough, the Heat have dropped their last four games while the youngster has been out. He was injured against the Charlotte Hornets a week ago, and ever since, a groin strain has kept him out of action.

Jaquez: No major injuries
Jaquez is less than a month removed from his career-high 31-point performance in the Heat’s victory against the Sixers. He scored double digits in all seven of his games in January.

Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks had had enough of the heckling from a fan during the game against the Phoenix Suns and gave an explanation of his actions following the game.

The former Bruin has faced difficulties in the preseason previously, but he has promised that this ailment is not as bad as the one that sidelined him for two weeks prior to opening day.
