New Titans head coach discusses Will Levis’ prospects

The development of quarterback Will Levis is the new head coach of the Tennessee Titans, and a crucial question at his Thursday press conference was how he would go about doing so.

Callahan was all over Levis, complimenting the rookie quarterback on his “competitive instincts.” With Levis, a 2023 second-round pick, the team intends to proceed, as the new coach has made fairly evident.

According to Nick Suss of the Tennesseean, Callahan stated, “I can not wait to get to work with him.” He has many very unique physical talents, and I am eager to see if we can develop them. So far, everything about him has been excellent.

Observing him grow, I noticed a lot of really good things. His innate competitiveness was truly remarkable.

The Titans’ choice to hire Callahan undoubtedly took his background into consideration. Having previously collaborated with Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford, and Joe Burrow, the Titans hope he can develop Levis in a similar manner. Considering that Callahan accepted the position, one would think he is at least somewhat at ease with that expectation.

Following the hiring, Manning himself gave Callahan a hearty endorsement. For Levis, who had a mixed rookie campaign for Tennessee with eight touchdowns and four interceptions in nine games, that can only be a plus.
