Nick Chubb to Make a Surprising Move for the Browns

Chubb’s devastating season-ending knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2 came to an end. Two surgeries have been necessary, and it is unclear when he will be able to return. The Browns have stated that he should return at some point during the upcoming season, but they have not specified when.

The Browns’ problem with Chubb stems from his contract. The Browns can save nearly $12 million by releasing him, as he will count $15.8 million against the cap. At one point, breaking up with Chubb would have seemed like blasphemy. However, he is returning from a major injury and will turn 29 next season.
