At an auction on Wednesday, January 24, a Saudi Arabian businesswoman is said to have paid a staggering $125,000 for Cristiano Ronaldo’s signed Al-Nassr shirt.
Prior to the Diriyah ePrix, which is set for January 26 and 27, there was an auction (via Arab News). Given his achievements in the game, it should come as no surprise that the former striker for Real Madrid and Manchester United has a high value on his shirt.
Ronaldo had an incredible career in Europe before he made the decision to go with Al-Nassr in January 2023. He was the first of many well-known players to leave Old Trafford and relocate to Saudi Arabia when their contracts were mutually terminated.
Many European players, including Ruben Neves, Fabinho, Neymar, N’Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, and many more, finished their moves to the Middle East last summer.
In addition to winning the Ballon d’Or five times, the 38-year-old attacker has lifted the UEFA Champions League title five times. In addition to winning Seria A and La Liga twice apiece, he won three Premier League titles.
Ronaldo has scored 739 goals in his senior career, 450 of which have come while wearing the Real Madrid uniform. In 44 games since joining Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, he has 38 strikes.
The former Juventus player has scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 25 games across all competitions as he continues his incredible form into the new year. He is currently recovering from a muscle ailment that would prevent him from playing in Al-Nassr’s friendly match on February 1 against Inter Miami led by Lionel Messi (via GOAL).
