COLUMBUS, Ohio — Shortly after the news broke about Jim Harbaugh’s departure from Michigan to rejoin the NFL, the Wolverines have identified their successor, drawing inspiration from Ohio State’s approach.
Michigan is set to elevate offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore to the position of head coach.
This decision comes on the heels of a season where Moore, in the absence of Harbaugh, took on the role of interim head coach for a significant number of games.
Harbaugh had served a four-week suspension at the start of the season due to recruiting violations and concluded the regular season with a three-game suspension related to a sign-stealing scandal that dominated discussions.
