The Eagles have ended their association with Quarterbacks Coach Alex Tanney.
The Eagles are reshaping their offensive coaching staff, and shortly after dismissing Brian Johnson as offensive coordinator, they are parting company with Quarterbacks Coach Alex Tanney.
Eagles quarterbacks coach Alex Tanney has been given permission to explore other coaching opportunities, according to sources familiar with the situation. Tanney has expressed interest in several options and has been given the green light to pursue them.
The Eagles are undergoing changes on offense as they seek a new offensive coordinator.
Tanney was appointed as the Eagles’ assistant quarterbacks coach/offensive assistant during the 2022 offseason before being elevated to the position of Quarterbacks Coach last offseason.
A former NFL quarterback, Tanney joined the team as an offensive quality control coach in 2021 after concluding his nine-year playing career (2012-20).
