The Falcons are bringing on board Zac Robinson, who serves as the pass-game coordinator for the Rams, to be their offensive coordinator working under Raheem Morris.

The Atlanta Falcons have appointed Zac Robinson, the pass-game coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, as their new offensive coordinator under head coach Raheem Morris. Robinson, who was highly sought after this offseason, had interviews with several teams for offensive coordinator positions, including the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Robinson was Morris’ preferred choice for the Falcons’ offensive coordinator role, and he is set to join the team in Atlanta. This announcement comes amidst a significant moment for Robinson, as he and his wife Mia welcomed their second child, Cooper, on the same day.

Robinson had been with the Rams coaching staff since 2019, initially as the assistant quarterbacks coach before transitioning to assistant wide receivers coach and eventually returning to work with the quarterbacks. During his tenure, he contributed to the success of quarterbacks like Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield, and Matthew Stafford.

Now, Robinson will be tasked with developing the skills of quarterbacks Taylor Heinicke and Desmond Ridder for the Falcons, unless they acquire another veteran quarterback or draft a new prospect.

Meanwhile, the Rams are in search of a replacement for Raheem Morris and have shown interest in Brandon Staley, the former head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. Staley, who previously served as the Rams’ defensive coordinator in 2020, is also being courted by the Green Bay Packers for their defensive coordinator position, adding competition for his services.
