It appears that Rangers still have some unresolved issues to address about Rıdvan Yılmaz in the last few days of the transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been connected to Galatasaray for a long time, but they haven’t been able to come to an agreement with Phillipe Clement’s team on his transfer.
Journalist Yagiz Sabuncouglu provides an update on this pursuit today. According to him, Rangers and the Turkish side will meet again this week to discuss Yılmaz.
This reporter had disclosed on Saturday that the Rangers had rejected an offer for the deal from Galatasaray.
The Turkish team reportedly made a loan bid with a €3 million buyout option, but Rangers insisted on a €4.5 million guarantee, either with a permanent transfer or an obligation.
Galatasaray still needs to satisfy those requirements, so we’ll have to wait and see what they have to offer.
This pursuit has been going on for a few weeks now, and by delaying the last push until now, Galatasaray will have to make good on their promise to meet the Rangers’ request.
