Ex-Stanford Defensive Lineman Jaxson Moi Plans Transfer to Tennessee.

Stanford experienced minimal losses to the transfer portal after the 2023 season. Recently, defensive lineman Jaxson Moi disclosed his decision to continue his career at Tennessee via social media. Moi, a former three-star defensive tackle from San Diego, underwent a tumultuous portal process. While visiting Washington, the head coach, Kalen DeBoer, accepted the Alabama job. Moi also explored Arizona but faced another coaching change when Jedd Fisch was appointed at Washington after DeBoer’s move to Alabama.

Moi, who recorded 37 total tackles, 11 solo tackles, three pass deflections, and a sack during his tenure at Stanford, entered the portal following a couple of seasons in Palo Alto.

Regarding other Stanford transfers, E.J. Smith (Texas A&M), Alaka’i Gilman (Utah), and Lucas Heyer (returning to Stanford) have disclosed their plans for the upcoming season. Star tight end Benjamin Yurosek was reportedly considering trips to the University of Texas and Georgia, but indications suggest he may land in Athens due to Texas’ recent addition at tight end.
