Rangers have secured the signing of FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Mohamed Diomande for a fee exceeding £4.3m. The 22-year-old is currently awaiting approval for a work permit before making his way to Glasgow. This acquisition marks Rangers’ second signing of the January transfer window, following the loan arrival of Fabio Silva.
The Scottish Premiership club has agreed to pay a fee surpassing £4.3m (€5m) for the services of the 22-year-old. Diomande is patiently awaiting the issuance of a work permit before he can join his new teammates in Glasgow.
Having represented Ivory Coast at the U23 level, Diomande boasts over 100 appearances for Nordsjaelland, including European matches, and has netted 13 goals for the club.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Diomande stated, “I am thrilled to be joining such a prestigious club, and I’ve heard many positive things about the team. Engaging discussions with the manager regarding his vision for the team and my potential role played a significant role in my decision to choose Rangers.”
“I’m eagerly looking forward to commencing this new chapter, meeting my teammates, and stepping onto the pitch at Ibrox for the first time in front of the Rangers supporters,” Diomande added.
