In Monday night’s game against the Pelicans, the Celtics will once again be without their starting center, Kristaps Porzingis, who sustained a sprained ankle against the Heat on Thursday.

This marks his second consecutive absence, as he also missed the team’s recent loss to the Clippers on Saturday. Assistant coach Joe Mazzulla mentioned that Porzingis is considered day-to-day, having participated in a workout on Monday morning with the possibility of returning as early as Tuesday against the Pacers.

Additionally, Luke Kornet will be unavailable for Monday’s game due to a hamstring injury suffered in the second half of the Celtics’ loss to the Clippers. On a positive note, Al Horford has been upgraded from questionable to available, securing his second consecutive start at center for Monday’s contest

Boston is currently in the middle of a seven-game stretch at TD Garden, where they boast a remarkable 20-2 record this year. However, they are coming off two consecutive losses on their home turf. The matchup between Boston and New Orleans is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday night.
