ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) – Another staff member from Jim Harbaugh’s team at Michigan is joining him in the NFL. The departure of Michigan’s highly esteemed strength coach, Ben Herbert, to the Chargers was recently announced.
Michigan acted swiftly to fill the vacancy, promoting Justin Tress, Herbert’s assistant, to the role of Director of Strength and Conditioning. Tress has been alongside Herbert at both Michigan and Arkansas.
As the Michigan Wolverines continue to address the gaps created by Harbaugh’s departure, they are set to commence the new season on August 31st against Fresno State.
