Cyriel Dessers garners attention from Rangers for a potential transfer exit, with TWO Italian clubs expressing interest in the striker.
Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers is being considered for a surprising move back to Italy, with two clubs reportedly pursuing his signature.
Despite initially struggling to adapt after his £4.3 million transfer from Cremonese last summer, Dessers has recently found form, tallying 12 goals and seven assists in 32 appearances this season. This improved performance contrasts with earlier skepticism from some fans regarding his abilities at Ibrox.
Under new manager Philippe Clement, Dessers has become a regular starter, but Rangers may need to weigh options regarding the 29-year-old’s future. According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Serie A clubs Hellas Verona and Torino have shown interest in signing Dessers before the end of January.
Nevertheless, given Rangers’ limited attacking options, it’s highly unlikely they would allow Dessers to depart for Italy without securing a replacement first. Recent reports indicate Rangers scouts observed Lawrence Shankland’s performance in Hearts’ 2-0 victory over Aberdeen, with the Scotland international heavily linked with a move to Govan throughout the month.
