A report reveals the genuine likelihood of the Wolves securing a deal to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea before the deadline day.

Armando Broja, aged 22, remains the subject of transfer speculation as the January window draws to a close, with reports suggesting interest from clubs outside Stamford Bridge.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Chelsea rejected a loan offer from Wolves for Broja.

The Express and Star has now provided insight into the likelihood of Broja joining Wolverhampton Wanderers before the deadline. According to their report, Chelsea declined Wolves’ loan proposal for Broja, insisting on a deal that includes an obligation to buy, with a fee potentially exceeding £30 million.

However, financial concerns at Wolves mean they are only considering a straight loan deal for the 22-year-old striker. Consequently, The Express and Star considers the transfer as ‘unlikely’ for now, given Chelsea’s firm stance on the terms of the deal. The Blues are unwilling to let their academy product depart without a commitment to purchase.

While Broja has faced challenges in regaining top form following a serious knee injury, he remains young at 22 years old. Despite this, he may find limited starting opportunities, especially if Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson remain fit in the coming months.

Although Wolves could have been a suitable environment for Broja to rediscover his peak performance, it appears another club may need to intervene in the final hours of the transfer window for him to secure a new destination. The next 48 hours will likely be pivotal for the Chelsea striker’s future.
