Sheffield United of the Premier League is interested in recruiting Harry Souttar, a defender for Leicester City who is connected to Rangers.
The Australian international stopper, 25, who is out of favor at the Championship leaders, was heavily linked to the Gers during the summer.
Even after spending an incredible £15 million on the defender just a year prior, Harry Souttar has failed to establish himself in Enzo Maresca’s starting lineup this year.
Consequently, a January departure seems likely, with Sheffield United mentioned as a possible destination.
At least this is what Sky Sports is claiming, stating that Sheffield United is hoping to sign Harry Souttar before tomorrow’s deadline.
Souttar is presently competing for Australia in the Asia Cup, thus the source speculates that there may be some “practical issues” with the transaction.
The center back, however, is reportedly quite “keen” to transfer because he isn’t getting many opportunities at King Power Stadium.
Additionally, the source suggests that Everton’s Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey, as well as Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall, are potential replacements for Chris Wilder’s team.
