Wolverin  2024 recruiting class: Positive aspects of each player.


Free Press sports writer Tony Garcia provides an analysis of Michigan football’s 2024 recruits who officially signed letters of intent on the first day of the early signing period:

1. EDGE Devon Baxter
– School: Gwynn Park (Brandywine, Maryland).
– Vital Stats: 6-6, 225.
– 247 Sports’ Composite Ranking: Four-star, No. 351 overall, No. 29 EDGE.
– Noteworthy: Baxter, a highly regarded athlete with basketball skills, is expected to make a significant impact in Michigan’s EDGE unit. His primary goal is to add around 20 pounds to his frame without sacrificing speed.

2. DL Manuel Beigel
– School: Choate Rosemary Hall (Wallingford, Connecticut).
– Vital Stats: 6-4, 282.
– 247 Sports’ Composite Ranking: Three-star, No. 885 overall, No. 106 DL.
– Noteworthy: Beigel, a former soccer player, showcases agility for his size and was recognized on 247 Sports’ “Freaks List.” He is likely to play on the defensive line, starting on the interior.

3. EDGE Mason Curtis
– School: Ensworth (Nashville, Tennessee).
