Daniel Farke has finally shared his thoughts on Leeds United’s transfer window.

Throughout January, Farke repeatedly stated that he would talk about business only after it was completed. In the closing hours of deadline day, Leeds made their first signing.

Following the exits of both Djed Spence and Luke Ayling last month, Leeds made finding a new right-back a top priority. After several rejections, they eventually signed Connor Roberts on loan from Burnley.

Roberts is an athlete. Leeds was linked almost immediately after Spence was returned to Tottenham, but a deal was not reached until the very last hours of the transfer window.

Farke is happy that Leeds has finally been able to buy a “specialist” and feels Roberts is the “perfect fit” at right-back. He made these remarks at his post-match press conference following the victory over Bristol City.

“We let Ayling and Spence go, so it’s just Gray and Shackleton left,” he stated. With Connor, we now have an expert there who has a tremendous CV and a great age. 180 games in this category.

“Excellent morals and complete dedication. Here currently is half of the Wales national team. They’ll be ready to take against Finland under Glen Kamara’s leadership.

It’s difficult to make our group better, yet it fits perfectly. He needs to show it right now in training and on the field. It’s helpful to have an expert.
