Braswell Thomas discusses his interest in the University of Tennessee and other prospective schools.


Tennessee has been actively pursuing several pass catchers in their recruiting efforts, including Braswell Thomas, a wide receiver from Lower Cape May Regional High School. Thomas, who stands at 6-2 and weighs 185 pounds, is ranked as the No. 675 prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. The Volunteers have been targeting him for some time, and he recently provided an update on his recruitment in an interview with Volunteer Country.

Thomas expressed satisfaction with the progress of his recruitment, stating, “My recruitment is definitely going well. I’m definitely having fun trying to keep everything focused and keep up the hard training.” When asked about standout schools, he mentioned Syracuse and Tennessee, expressing his hope for more positive experiences during his upcoming visits.

Explaining his interest in Syracuse, Thomas highlighted his close relationship with Coach Fran Brown and the appealing atmosphere he experienced, particularly during a football game. He also expressed anticipation for seeing the new renovations at the university. Regarding Tennessee, Thomas praised Coach Josh Heupel’s outgoing personality and the competitive environment within the program, emphasizing the strong culture.

When asked about his rapport with the Tennessee staff, Thomas spoke highly of his relationship with Coach Heupel and other staff members, noting their consistent communication. He believes he can bring a significant level of competitiveness and unwavering dedication to a program like Tennessee.

Thomas has scheduled visits, including an unofficial visit to Pittsburgh on February 3 and an official visit to Nebraska on June 13, with plans to add more to his list in the future.
