According to LeedsLive, if Leeds United can defeat Plymouth Argyle in their FA Cup rematch on Tuesday, February 6, they may be in line for a substantial financial boost.
On Monday, February 5th, the news source announced on its website that the Whites will win £120,000 should they defeat the Pilgrims and advance to the competition’s fifth round.
Because the match will be televised live on BBC One, they will also be eligible for TV broadcast money. Additionally, each team will get 45% of the gate earnings at Home Park.
Leeds will be happy to get the additional money as they get ready to go to Plymouth for the repeat.
Without a question, the Whites could have done without the lengthy travel to Devon and would have liked to cross the finish line at Elland Road in another game.
However, Daniel Farke will be hoping that his team maintains its momentum in order to secure a spot in the competition’s fifth round.
There may be far larger prizes later on, even though the money up for grabs in the fourth round is by no means revolutionary.
It would be a great chance for them to test themselves against a Premier League team if they can advance since they would face the victor of the rematch between Chelsea and the high-flying Aston Villa.
