January saw the arrival of the striker that Celtic supporters had been waiting for, but maybe not in the manner that many had hoped.

You can’t tell supporters that Brendan Rodgers’ top transfer target was Adam Idah, who was having trouble at Norwich City, or that he was the first pick.

On the contrary, considering that the Republic of Ireland player has just joined Celtic on a season-long loan, it actually only represents short-term thinking.

Sadly, Celtic supporters saw why he is so highly regarded on Saturday when he opened the score for his managerless team against the Bhoys, who were struggling up until that point.

That demonstrated the 24-year-old’s value, and Michael Stewart believes Aberdeen would have been persuaded to go with such an important player for a transfer fee of “£5 million.”

Though some within Parkhead’s four walls believed differently, the problems at Pittodrie this season likely would have boosted their odds.

Stewart stated, “Bojan Miovski would walk into Celtic’s squad and be a great addition as an option.”
