After Leeds United defeated Plymouth Argyle 4-1 on Tuesday to secure a fifth-round FA Cup fixture against either Aston Villa or Chelsea, Daniel Farke provided an update on the team’s Jamie Shackleton.

In their Tuesday night match against Plymouth, Leeds need extra time to overcome the obstacle; goals from Willy Gnonto, Cree Summerville, Georgie Rutter, and an own goal proved to be sufficient.

In addition to the ineligible Connor Roberts, Leeds was also without four players due to sickness or injury. Along with Pascal Struijk, Stuart Dallas, and rising sensation Dan James, Shackleton was unable to make the trip.

Ready for Saturday'... Daniel Farke suggests 24-year-old will be back in Leeds squad at weekend

It happens after Shackleton, 24, was named in the team that defeated Bristol City on Friday but was unable to leave on Tuesday. Regarding the adaptable Leeds midfielder, Farke provided an update.

Shackleton will be back in the Leeds squad to play Rotherham United this weekend, the boss of Leeds confirmed to Leeds Live: “Jamie still not well.” Not good enough to go. Hopefully prepared for Saturday.

Shackleton, despite his meagre 13 appearances, has been an integral component of this promotion-chasing team. Capable of assuming several positions, Farke has demonstrated lately that he is an important team player.

even implying that Elland Road will award him a new contract. Even if his agent predicted he would leave last summer, he deserves it for his attitude and dedication to Leeds. Probably coming back on Saturday.
