Following the FA Cup match at the CBS Arena last night, Coventry City manager Mark Robins is enraged with one Sheffield Wednesday player in particular.
Last night, Sheffield Wednesday traveled to Coventry to take on the Sky Blues in their third encounter in the previous five meetings.
And Coventry City emerged victorious once more.
In Sheffield Wednesday’s FA Cup fourth round replay, which the Owls lost 4-1 last night, Bailey Cadamarteri was the team’s top scorer.
Sheffield Wednesday can now concentrate on their incredible comeback in the Championship, while the Sky Blues secured a fifth round matchup with Maidstone United at the end of the month with three goals in a dominant second half.
Following the game, Coventry manager Robins vented his resentment at Sheffield Wednesday defender Di’Shon Bernard.
Jamie Allen was dragged off by Bernard, who looked to leave him with a shoulder in his face. Coventry subsequently confirmed that Allen needed to be brought to the hospital, where he was found to have broken his cheekbone.
It was a pretty delicious opportunity to advance in this tie against them. Di’Shon Bernard breaking Jamie Allen’s cheekbone by thrusting his shoulder in his face was the sole unpleasant aspect of the performance. it’s not ideal, and because it was, to put it mildly, sour, I would really like them (the FA) to look into it. A depressed fracture, that is. While I hope he won’t need surgery, it’s possible.
