For the 2024 season, the talented and hardworking center back will be with the Detroit Lions.
Frank Ragnow has stated that his career will stay in Motown. He acknowledged at the conclusion of a demanding season that having to deal with ailments for the previous two years had taken a toll on him.
“I just need a few weeks to get healthy,” Ragnow said at the NFL Honors to the Free Press. “I guess I just kind of get right back into it throughout the offseason, but I think as I get older, I need to realize that sometimes maybe less really is more. We’ll resume our work when I take a little time to ensure my health.”
Dan Campbell did not earn Coach of the Year, which was unexpected.
This year’s winner was head coach Kevin Stefanski of the Browns.
Detroit’s gifted offensive coordinator will not win any NFL awards for the second year in a row.
Johnson placed second in the Associated Press Assistant Coach of the Year competition last year.
Johnson lost to another head coach in Motown after the Lions’ offense finished in the top ten.
Jim Schwartz, the defensive coordinator for the Browns, won the AFC North title and Assistant Coach of the Year award.
