PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers are undergoing changes to their offensive coaching staff this offseason, possibly leading to a new quarterbacks coach in 2024.

According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, who spoke on the “Chipped Ham and Football” podcast alongside Brian Batko, a Steelers beat writer, there’s uncertainty regarding the future of current quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan. Dulac mentioned that Sullivan is being considered for the same role next season but the team is exploring alternative options.

Sullivan had discussions with head coach Mike Tomlin during the season-end review, which left him somewhat encouraged about his potential retention. However, Dulac noted that while Sullivan interviewed for offensive coordinator positions with other teams, he remains uncertain about his future with the Steelers.

While Dulac didn’t disclose specific candidates for the quarterbacks coach position, previous reports indicated potential interviews with Tom Arth from the Chargers and Charles London from the Titans.

Additionally, there are vacancies for assistant quarterbacks coach and offensive assistant due to departures of David Corley and Matt Toshomo, respectively.

The status of running backs coach Eddie Faulkner, who assisted Sullivan after offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s dismissal, remains uncertain. Nevertheless, tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts and offensive line coach Pat Meyer are confirmed to return in 2024.
