Jordan Mailata is thrilled about embarking on a fresh journey alongside Kellen Moore.

Following a disappointing conclusion to the 2023 season where the Eagles lost six of their last seven games, right tackle Jordan Mailata acknowledged that changes were inevitable. With such a dismal finish, Mailata felt that accountability was necessary, and the Eagles singled out offensive coordinator Brian Johnson for the team’s shortcomings. Johnson was relieved of his duties after just one season, and former Cowboys and Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore took his place.

Mailata hasn’t been briefed on the full extent of the changes to the offensive system yet. However, he expressed optimism for a fresh beginning. He anticipates that the new offense under Moore might bear similarities to their previous system, though possibly with different terminology. Despite uncertainties, Mailata is enthusiastic about the team’s new direction.

The Eagles are banking on the new direction to resemble the success they enjoyed during their impressive 10-1 start to the season. Anything less could lead to further scrutiny and criticism in Philadelphia.
