Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2024 class of inductees is led by an ESPN analyst.
ESPN NFL analyst Harry Douglas is set to lead the 2024 Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame class, scheduled for induction in June. Douglas, a former wide receiver at Louisville, shares the honor with other notable individuals, including the late Fred Lee Davis, a former DuPont Manual defensive lineman, Maurice Douglass, a former Kentucky defensive back, Jack Doyle, a former tight end at Western Kentucky, and Luke Stocker, a former tight end at Madison Southern. Douglas, who earned second-team All-American honors at Louisville in 2007, enjoyed a decade-long NFL career, spending seven seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and three with the Tennessee Titans. Currently serving as an analyst for ESPN and ESPN Radio, Douglas will be celebrated alongside other accomplished players during the induction ceremony on June 28 in Lexington.
Fred Lee Davis, who passed away in 1995, achieved two Pro Bowl selections and secured two NFL championships during his nine-season career, having played college football at Alabama. Maurice Douglass contributed 11 seasons to the NFL, playing for the Chicago Bears and New York Giants. Jack Doyle, despite going undrafted, spent nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, earning two Pro Bowl nods. Luke Stocker, who played at Tennessee, had an 11-season NFL career.
Additionally, the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame will recognize Art Lee Shell, the first Black head coach in the NFL’s modern era, with the Blanton Collier Award for Integrity On and Off the Field. UK linebacker J.J. Weaver and the Letcher County High School football team will receive the Ron Butler Award for Character in Adversity. Tyquan Rice of Paris High School has been named high school coach of the year.
