The remarkable maneuver by Ben Simmons gained widespread attention during the Spurs-Nets matchup.


On Saturday night, the San Antonio Spurs visited the Barclays Center in New York to face the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets dominated most of the game, securing a 123-103 victory. Nic Claxton stood out with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Ben Simmons contributed positively, scoring 13 points, grabbing three rebounds, dishing out five assists, making three steals, and blocking two shots while shooting an impressive 6 for 7 from the field in 22 minutes of play. During the match, Simmons executed a remarkable highlight that garnered significant attention on social media—driving to the basket, executing a spin move, and sinking a fadeaway jump shot.

Simmons, in his second season with the Nets, maintains averages of 7.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game, shooting at an impressive 62.7% from the field across 11 games.

The victory elevated the Nets to a 21-31 record in 52 games, positioning them as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference. It also halted a three-game losing streak, boosting their home record to 13-16 in 29 games at the Barclays Center. Next, the Nets will host the Boston Celtics, led by Jayson Tatum, on Tuesday in New York.

As for the Spurs, they currently hold the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 10-43 record in 53 games. They are amidst a seven-game losing streak and will next face the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.
