The Cincinnati Bengals prevent the Los Angeles Chargers from interviewing crucial coach Jordan Kovacs.

 

The Cincinnati Bengals made it clear they were determined to retain a key assistant. As reported by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Bengals rejected a Los Angeles Chargers’ request to interview Jordan Kovacs. This decision allowed the Bengals to officially promote Kovacs to the position of secondary/safeties coach, filling the void left by Robert Livingston’s departure to join Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes. Kovacs had already been in line for the promotion before outside interest arose. Notably, Jim Harbaugh of the Chargers expressed interest in interviewing Kovacs, who had previously worked under Harbaugh during his time at Michigan.
