Rangers, all things considered, had a straightforward January transfer window.

It can surely be thought of as a successful one, too, with Fabio Silva arriving on loan very early on while the promising Oscar Cortes joined with an option in the summer and Mohamed Diomande showed up with a heavy £4.5million price tag on his head. Fans seemed pleased with what they ended up with and they made their squad stronger, with Nils Koppen’s first window seemingly going swimmingly.

Had you checked social media on February 2 you may have spotted one or two little gripes about failing to bring in another striking option with Abdallah Sima and Danilo both sidelined long-term. At left-back there was also no incoming but they did keep hold of Ridvan Yilmaz with Borna Barisic already at Ibrox while Jefte will arrive in summer.
