Tennessee baseball has secured a spot within the top 10 of the USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll.
Tennessee’s baseball team has secured a notable position as one of the top-10 teams in the USA Today Coaches Poll, holding the eighth spot in the recently unveiled Preseason Top-25 rankings. The poll, which relies on input from 31 Division I head coaches who submit their rankings weekly, reflects the high regard for Tony Vitello’s squad. Notably, Tennessee is among eight SEC teams featured in the rankings, the most representation from any conference. The team’s season kicks off on Feb. 16 in Arlington, Texas, participating in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown. Following this, they’ll have their home opener at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Feb. 20 against UNC Asheville, commencing a series of home games. With a strong roster including returning letterwinners, promising recruits, and notable transfers, Tennessee aims to build upon their recent success, including their recent appearance in the Men’s College World Series.
