The current Denver Broncos roster lacks the ideal quarterback fit. Looking ahead to the potential of acquiring a promising young quarterback from the 2024 draft class, a pressing question arises: Will the Broncos have the means to secure their preferred candidate?

While I’m not entirely opposed to the idea of bringing in a seasoned veteran to serve as a temporary solution, I believe it’s not the optimal choice for the team’s future. It’s imperative for Sean Payton to find a quarterback who can seamlessly integrate with his offensive system for the long term success of the team. Given the Broncos’ relatively high draft position, it’s unlikely they’ll have the opportunity to trade up in the near future.

Broncos fans are understandably concerned about what it might take for Sean Payton to identify the right quarterback for his system and then trade up to acquire him. Given the absence of a second-round pick for the Broncos, unconventional strategies may need to be employed to execute the right move. This could potentially involve considering trades involving key players such as Justin Simmons, Patrick Surtain II, and Courtland Sutton, despite the difficulty of such decisions.

So, Broncos Country, let’s discuss: You have your eye on a quarterback, but you anticipate that he won’t be available beyond the third pick. How much would you be willing to sacrifice to negotiate with New England and secure your preferred quarterback?
