Doctor provides update on Ally McCoist  following chest surgery.

The injury specialist suggests that the typical recovery period for chest surgery extends until April or May.

Back in January, Philippe Clement stated that the club wouldn’t hurry the Brazilian forward’s return just to have him play a few matches towards the end of the season.

In an exclusive discussion with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor specializing in physical therapy and sports science, remarked:

“It appears the club is prioritizing caution in his recovery post-knee surgery. Whether he returns before the season ends depends on his response to rehabilitation.”

“If his rehabilitation progresses well, there’s a chance he could return sooner than expected. Initial timelines are generally based on average cases, but there are many variables involved.”

“It’s prudent for Rangers not to rush his return, particularly during a crucial phase of their campaign, where they’re vying for the league title. However, if his recovery progresses naturally, Clement wouldn’t hesitate to reintegrate him into the squad.”

“Thus far, there haven’t been any significant indications suggesting he’s off track with his recovery.”
