According to Business Den, Russell Wilson, the Broncos quarterback, has been showing his home to potential buyers amidst widespread rumors that he won’t be returning to Denver next season. Wilson and his wife Ciara bought the property for $25 million in April 2022 after his trade from the Seattle Seahawks to the Broncos. This purchase set a new record for the most expensive home sale in the Denver area, surpassing the previous record of $16 million.

The property, spanning 20,000 square feet on 5 acres, boasts four bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, along with his-and-hers walk-in closets, offices, and bathroom suites as per a previous listing. Additionally, the home features a 2,590-square-foot indoor swimming pool, a basketball court, and a guest apartment with its own kitchen.

Wilson’s tenure in Denver has been challenging, with ESPN’s Jeff Legwold reporting that hardly anyone in the league expects the 35-year-old quarterback to remain with the Broncos. He was benched during the final two games of the season, a decision attributed by Broncos head coach Sean Payton to a “football decision.

” However, speculation arose that the move was made to prevent Wilson from getting injured, which could trigger a $37 million guarantee for the 2025 season if he failed a physical examination by the fifth day of the new league year in March.

Wilson revealed that the team gave him an ultimatum to adjust the guarantee or be benched for the remainder of the season shortly after a victory against the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite wanting to play and help the team win, Wilson refused to remove the injury guarantee clause from his contract, emphasizing the physical nature of the sport and his desire not to play timid or scared.

Wilson signed a five-year, $242.6 million contract in 2022, with $39 million already guaranteed for 2024.
