Reportedly, Russell Wilson edges closer to departing from the Broncos.

The Denver Broncos have indicated that quarterback Russell Wilson could potentially return for the 2024 season, but indications strongly suggest otherwise.

Recent developments suggest Wilson is leaning towards leaving. According to Thomas Gounley of BusinessDen, Wilson and his wife Ciara have listed their Cherry Hills home for sale, entertaining offers and conducting tours for prospective buyers.

The couple purchased the property for $25 million in April 2022, setting a record for the highest-priced home sale in the Denver area. There’s no information available on the current asking price.

While no definitive decision has been made on Wilson’s future, signs point towards his departure. Broncos coach Sean Payton mentioned that the team hasn’t begun evaluating the quarterback position thoroughly. However, Wilson’s public accusation of the Broncos threatening to bench him if he didn’t renegotiate his contract likely means reconciliation is unlikely.

Dealing with Wilson’s contract presents challenges for the Broncos as they seek to move on. Cutting him would incur significant dead money. Despite this, one team is considered a strong contender for acquiring his services, according to oddsmakers.
