Following a disappointing season in Denver, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback may soon become available for other teams, as indicated by his decision to put his house up for sale.

While the Denver Broncos haven’t officially hinted at parting ways with their starting quarterback, signs strongly suggest otherwise. The situation gains more credibility with reports stating that Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara are selling their mansion in Denver’s Cherry Hills Village, purchased for $25 million after his trade from the Seattle Seahawks in 2022. Prospective buyers are now touring the property.

Speculation about Wilson’s future in Denver isn’t new, particularly since he was benched during the team’s final games of the season. Despite a decent performance with a 66.4% completion rate, his highest since 2020, along with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions, there’s been ongoing chatter about his potential release.

The Broncos’ QB could soon be on his way out the door which is understandable following the campaign that he and the team recently had to endure.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton cited the decision to bench Wilson as an attempt to secure wins, even though the team was still in playoff contention after consecutive losses against the Lions and Patriots. Although the team won their first game without Wilson, they later fell to the Raiders, concluding the season with an 8-9 record.

Wilson expressed his desire to continue playing in Denver after being removed from the starting lineup. However, Payton suggested the team hadn’t firmly decided on their quarterback, despite Wilson being in the midst of a lucrative five-year, $242.59 million contract with a potential out after the 2025 season. With his house now listed for sale, it seems likely that Wilson is considering the possibility of not returning to Denver for the next season.
