Arsenal is confident in the potential impact Ivan Toney and Pedro Neto could bring if they were to join the club during the upcoming summer transfer window. Scouts from Arsenal closely observed both players during Wolverhampton Wanderers’ recent match against Brentford.

According to transfer insider Dean Jones, Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta has been eyeing Neto and Toney for more than a year now. Jones mentioned in an interview with GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal intensified their pursuit following an opportune moment.

With the Premier League season nearing its conclusion, Arteta was eager to assess the performance of Neto and Toney, prompting Arsenal to dispatch scouts to monitor them closely.

Responding to inquiries regarding Arsenal’s scouting activities last weekend, Jones stated that Brentford values Toney at £100 million, while Neto could command a fee in the region of £70 million. Both players are also attracting interest from other Premier League clubs, with Chelsea and Manchester United linked with Toney, and Manchester City, Spurs, and Liverpool keeping tabs on Portuguese winger Neto.

Arsenal has held a longstanding interest in both players. The club aimed to secure Toney’s signature in January, but financial constraints prevented them from doing so.

Arteta is keen on bolstering Arsenal’s attacking options, believing that signing a quality forward could help challenge Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League.
