Micah Richards expressed admiration for Rangers’ duo Todd Cantwell and James Tavernier following their instrumental roles in propelling the Ibrox side to the summit of the Scottish Premiership.

Tavernier, the captain of the Light Blues, scored twice from the penalty spot in a 3-0 victory against St Johnstone in Perth, bringing his total goals for the club to 120, a feat that places him on par with the legendary John Greig as the highest-scoring defender in Rangers’ history.

At 32 years old, Tavernier, who has 19 goals this season, stands as the third-highest scorer in Scottish Premiership history, trailing only Leigh Griffiths and Alfredo Morelos.
