Fabrizio Romano suggests that Wolverhampton Wanderers may struggle to retain Pedro Neto during the upcoming summer transfer window at Molineux. The team’s success this season, largely attributed to their strong attacking lineup under head coach Gary O’Neil, has heightened interest in Neto’s services from top Premier League clubs.

Despite facing setbacks with injuries in recent seasons, Neto is currently enjoying a standout campaign with Wolves. Under O’Neil’s management since August 2023, he has emerged as a key player, showcasing leadership and consistency in the attacking third.

Despite missing a portion of the 2023/24 season due to injury, Neto has delivered impressive performances, ranking joint-third in assists in the Premier League and contributing both goals and assists despite limited playing time.

As a result, major English clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest, with Wolves reportedly open to a potential record-breaking transfer fee of £60m.

While O’Neil has stated that there are no immediate plans to let Neto depart in the summer, Romano believes that Wolves will face a tough challenge in retaining him beyond the transfer window.
