Russell Wilson’s prospects of securing employment despite the imminent release from the Denver Broncos receive a significant upturn.

Russell Wilson’s future NFL team remains uncertain as the 2024 regular season approaches. Although it’s widely anticipated that the Denver Broncos will soon part ways with the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, his next destination remains unclear. Jeremy Fowler, an ESPN analyst, suggests that if Wilson is indeed released by the Broncos, he shouldn’t have trouble securing a starting quarterback position elsewhere.

During a recent appearance on SportsCenter, Fowler shared insights on Wilson’s prospects, stating, “I’ve spoken with several teams who still view him as a viable starting quarterback. There are opportunities out there for him.”

Wilson’s tenure with the Denver Broncos has been turbulent from the start. Despite the Broncos’ disappointing 5-12 record in his first season and a marginal improvement to 8-9 in 2023, Wilson’s performance has failed to meet expectations. He even faced benching towards the end of the 2023 campaign.

It seems that the football environment in Denver might not be the best fit for Wilson. His stint with the Broncos began with a blockbuster $242.5 million contract extension in 2022 following a trade from the Seattle Seahawks.
