The police investigation into Ravens’ Zay Flowers for suspected domestic assault has been “halted,” and no charges have been filed.

The Baltimore County police have “suspended” the domestic violence investigation into Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers, as per documents disclosed on Tuesday, and no criminal charges have been filed.

Authorities have mentioned that if additional information surfaces, they may reopen the investigation.

Earlier this month, Baltimore County police initiated an investigation into an incident reportedly occurring on Jan. 21 in Owings Mills, Maryland.

According to documents cited by The Baltimore Sun, an alleged victim had previously reported to police in Acton, Massachusetts, regarding a “violent domestic incident” on Jan. 16 in Owings Mills, where the “suspect’s brother also drew a firearm.” However, she declined to identify the suspect beyond mentioning that he is an “NFL player” and that they are “all over social media.”

The Acton Police suggested the identity of the suspect, but that information is redacted in the report.

In accordance with the Baltimore County case report, police contacted the alleged victim on Jan. 30 via phone regarding her Massachusetts report. She reportedly indicated there were “no further issues” and did not provide “any further details relating to the original report.”

Although some details in the documents are redacted, police attempted to communicate with Flowers through an attorney. The attorney informed them that Flowers “would not avail himself at this time in reference to this report,” leading to the suspension of the investigation on Feb. 16.

The NFL announced last week that it was in the “early stages” of investigating the matter. Despite not facing criminal charges presently, Flowers could potentially face a suspension without pay depending on the outcome of the league’s review.

Flowers concluded his rookie NFL season with 77 catches and 858 receiving yards, setting franchise records for a rookie, in addition to scoring six touchdowns.
