Leeds United host Leicester City tonight in what is arguably the biggest game of the Championship season so far.

The top two teams in the division will face off at Elland Road under the floodlights, and every corner of the field will host battles that could sway the match’s outcome.

Leicester manager Enzo Maresca has acknowledged the need for his team to be cautious of Leeds’ potent front four during transitions. Another crucial matchup to watch is how effectively Ilia Gruev can neutralize Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

However, one particular clash stands out from a defensive standpoint for Leeds: Junior Firpo versus Abdul Fatawu.

While Dewsbury-Hall leads Leicester in assists, Fatawu is the most creative player in the league, having crafted 24 significant scoring opportunities this season—four more than Georginio Rutter and eight ahead of Crysencio Summerville.

Fatawu posed a significant threat for Leicester in their previous encounter in November, hitting the crossbar in the first half and setting up their best chance for Dewsbury-Hall in stoppage time.

Sam Byram was tasked with marking Fatawu in that match and had a tough time in the first half but managed to handle him better as the game progressed.
