Under Daniel Farke’s leadership, his team currently occupies an automatic promotion position, although competition from Ipswich Town and Southampton remains fierce, with just a two-point gap between the three contenders.

Archie Gray, the young talent in question, has played a pivotal role in this promotion push. Despite his primary position being in midfield, he has recently been deployed as a right-back and continues to impress while representing Leeds United.

As a result of his performances, there has been considerable interest in his services, with reports from HITC Football indicating that Liverpool and Newcastle United are both eager to secure the rising star from Leeds.

When asked about the potential transfer of Archie Gray to Liverpool, David James believes it would be a prudent move for the youngster’s long-term career prospects. Speaking to GGrecon, James described it as a “smart signing” for Liverpool. However, he also acknowledged the benefits of Gray staying with Leeds United, particularly if the club swiftly returns to the Premier League.

James highlighted the significant learning experience Gray is gaining at Leeds, given the club’s stature and the expectations associated with it, suggesting it mirrors what it would be like to play for Liverpool, albeit on a different scale. He also pondered whether it might be more beneficial for Gray’s development to remain with Leeds United for another season, considering the potential for Premier League football.
