Souths are taking measures to ensure their players are in high spirits, offering them the chance to visit Disneyland during their time off.
However, there’s a condition: they must use a mobility scooter. This decision aims to minimize strain on their bodies as they prepare for an important upcoming match in Las Vegas.
Veteran player Damien Cook, after a training session in San Diego, briefly left the team to spend time with his family in Disneyland.
Concerned about the physical toll of walking around the park, Cook agreed to rent an electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) to ease the strain, particularly as he’s recovering from a recent injury.
The team’s high-performance manager, Andrew Croll, emphasized the importance of managing players’ physical exertion, especially ahead of a crucial game.
Other players and staff are also planning trips to Disneyland, with a focus on using ECVs to conserve energy. Cook acknowledges the need to prioritize rest and recovery to be in top condition for the upcoming match against Manly.
