Tennessee has confirmed its participation in the upcoming college football video game.
On Thursday, significant updates about the latest NCAA College Football video game surfaced. Numerous programs, including the Tennessee Volunteers, confirmed their inclusion in the game, adding to the excitement surrounding its release. This news emerged alongside various announcements detailing the game’s features. Additionally, wide receiver Bru McCoy has affirmed that his likeness will be featured in the game.
The NCAA College Football franchise, cherished by fans, was a yearly essential in the gaming community until its discontinuation in the summer of 2013 due to disputes over the use of players’ names, images, and likenesses.
However, recent changes in the NIL (name, image, and likeness) rules in collegiate athletics now allow players to receive compensation for the use of their NIL. Consequently, EA Sports announced the game’s return in February 2021 and has now revealed the official release date. Even though the college football season has ended, the anticipation for the popular video game’s return this July is expected to alleviate the sense of a prolonged offseason.
