Oklahoma appoints Jolie Ale as its new Director of On-Campus Recruitment.

A recent addition to the Sooners’ team has been identified. According to sources within Sooners Illustrated on the 247Sports Network, it has been revealed that Oklahoma intends to bring Jolie Ale on board as their next Director of On-Campus Recruitment.

Ale, who graduated from the University of Southern California, served in the USC football recruiting department from 2017 to 2020. Following her tenure with the Trojans, Ale moved to Utah in May 2021 to assume the role of Director of On-Campus Recruitment for the Utes.

Later on, Ale transitioned to the NFL, working in the Community Relations Department for the Los Angeles Chargers back in California, returning to familiar ground.

Her return to collegiate football comes at a time of significant change in the landscape of the sport, particularly with the news of Oklahoma’s departure from the Big 12 Conference, alongside Texas, to join the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

As the Sooners prepare for their entry into the SEC in July, they have been making strategic moves to bolster their recruiting efforts. Despite the momentum in recruiting under the current leadership, Oklahoma has been actively expanding its off-field and recruiting staff ahead of the conference move.

The vacancy in the Director of On-Campus Recruitment position arose due to Lee Davis’s departure, who took a position with the University of Central Florida. In her new role, Davis serves as an Assistant Athletic Director and the Director of Football Executive Operations and Recruiting for the Knights.

Now, Ale steps into this role at Oklahoma, where she will play a crucial part in navigating the program through the transition to the SEC.

The Director of On-Campus Recruitment in college football oversees various aspects of the recruitment experience, including official and unofficial visits, game day experiences, and other recruiting events. Additionally, the role involves responsibilities such as refining recruitment strategies, managing the recruitment budget, and maintaining the overall recruiting calendar for the program.
