Rangers midfielder John Lundstram is heading for a new contract at Ibrox as his resurgent form kicks the club into action.
The former Sheffield United midfielder is in the final six months of his contract at Ibrox and as such, is technically free to discuss terms elsewhere.
But as John Lundstram’s recent performances in a Rangers shirt have proven, the idea he’d sign a contract somewhere else never appeared on the table.
Now, the latest suggests Rangers are dead-set on striking a new deal with John Lundstram with an announcement expected in the “coming weeks”.
At least this is according to established Scottish football journalist Chris Jack who, whilst writing for the Rangers Review, made the claim following the 5-0 demolition job of Hearts.
John Lundstram, 30, put in yet another inspired, swashbuckling display in the middle of the park against the Jambos and was instrumental in putting Scotland’s third force to the sword.
By the week the midfielder is proving his value to this Rangers side and according to Chris Jack, the powers that be at Ibrox are set to reward him.
According to the report, Rangers are “committed” to agreeing a new contract with John Lundstram with an agreement “likely in the coming weeks.”
