Russell Wilson’s latest statement raises more uncertainty about his future and catches Broncos fans off guard with an unexpected declaration.

In the ongoing saga surrounding Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos, a fresh development has emerged, adding further complexity to the situation. There’s been speculation that the Broncos might opt to part ways with Wilson after just two seasons, despite his expressed desire to stay in Denver. However, Wilson acknowledged the possibility of a change in scenery in 2024.

Wilson recently appeared on Brandon Marshall’s “I Am Athlete” podcast, where he faced inquiries about his uncertain NFL future.

“I’ve never been more fired up, especially over the last two years and what I’ve been through,” Wilson remarked. “Whether it’s in Denver or elsewhere, ideally Denver, I hope to conclude my career there. I made a commitment, I wanted to be there. I still want to be there.”

Despite being open to staying, during the podcast, Marshall explored the prospects of Wilson joining other speculated teams like the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Nevertheless, the Broncos remain in a favorable position to retain the experienced quarterback.

“Well, I’ll put Denver at number one since that’s where I am currently, but you have to be able to separate that,” Wilson explained. “It’s a business, and you have to approach it pragmatically, focusing on what you can control. If it’s not Denver, though, I need to go to a place where we can win again.”
