Oklahoma is among the early finalists for offensive lineman Connor Carty.

The Oklahoma Sooners recently received encouraging news from the recruiting front. Connor Carty revealed his early list of finalists via social media, with the Crimson and Cream making the cut.

Carty narrowed down his list of offers from an extensive 28 schools to a top-12 group. Alongside Oklahoma, other programs such as LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M, Texas, TCU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, USC, Texas Tech, Arkansas, and Penn State also made the cut. These remaining 12 schools are vying for the talented offensive lineman who is gaining momentum.

Ranked as the No. 380 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, Carty holds a three-star rating and is ranked as the No. 23 interior offensive lineman nationally and the No. 57 overall player in Texas. While his position in the 247Sports Network’s specific rankings is slightly different, there is still plenty of time for changes. He is listed as the No. 24 interior offensive lineman nationally and the No. 61 prospect in Texas.

In an interview, Carty expressed his criteria for selecting a program, emphasizing the importance of a school that will set him up for success both on and off the field. He values strong relationships with coaches and seeks a supportive environment for personal development.

Currently, there are no predictions in the 247Sports Crystal Ball regarding Carty’s recruitment, and he has not set a decision date or timeline. Despite the hectic process, Carty has taken some time to focus on other aspects of life but remains grateful for the opportunities presented by his 12 potential destinations.
