Prior to their matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Miami Heat have provided updates on player availability for Tuesday night’s game, following a notable victory over the Sacramento Kings where they were without key players due to suspensions and injuries. Terry Rozier, Tyler Herro, and Jimmy Butler were among those absent.

Regarding injuries, Rozier has been given the green light to play on Tuesday, as confirmed by the team’s announcement on X (formerly Twitter). He has been recovering from a knee injury sustained on Feb. 11 during the Heat’s loss to the Boston Celtics.

While Rozier’s availability is a positive development, Tyler Herro will be sidelined against the Trail Blazers due to a knee injury. Although he missed Monday’s game against the Kings, an MRI revealed no structural damage to his hyperextended left knee, marking a favorable outcome considering his previous absence in November due to a Grade 2 right ankle sprain.

Additionally, Josh Richardson and Orlando Robinson will also be unavailable for Tuesday’s game due to shoulder and back injuries respectively, both sustained on Feb. 11 against the Celtics.

With injuries depleting the backcourt, the Heat made a move in the buyout market, acquiring former Washington Wizards guard Delon Wright. Wright made his debut against the Kings on Monday, contributing significantly with 13 points, five assists, two steals, and one block.

Apart from injuries, the Heat also faced absences due to suspensions, including Jimmy Butler, Nikola Jovic, and Thomas Bryant. Bryant received a three-game suspension for his involvement in a separate incident but will be eligible to return on Thursday against the Denver Nuggets.

Butler and Jovic, who were suspended for one game following an altercation with players from the New Orleans Pelicans, are set to return against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. Their comeback is expected to have a notable impact as the Heat aim to perform strongly in the remainder of the season.
